Dr. José Hernando Acosta Ramírez is a hair restoration surgeon whose work
sits at the intersection of surgical craft and medical rigor. He holds a
master's degree in epidemiology, the study of how and why conditions
develop and progress across populations, and has completed postgraduate
coursework in dermatology, the medicine of the skin and scalp. Together
with his background in aesthetic medicine, that training shapes the
methodical way he assesses each case.
That perspective matters most in the consult. Before recommending a plan,
he looks at the pattern and likely progression of your hair loss, the
quality and capacity of your donor area, and what a natural result should
look like a decade from now, not just on the day you fly home. If a
transplant is not the right call, he will say so.
In the procedure itself, he plans and performs FUE and DHI personally,
combining the two techniques where it serves the result: harvesting
